The Kid Whisperers

As a parent there are many times we feel like we are beating our heads against the wall when it comes to raising our kids.  The fact is there isn't anything that has explained to parents and kids the facts of life.  I mean the facts about how our brains work, why our kids act out the way they do, why so many kids are turning to drugs and alcohol in spite of all the programs we have devised. 

I have spent 30 years researching and raising my three daughters, most of the time as a single parent, and three years ago my daughgter Wendy, after graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in Psychology, asked me to figure out why I did what I did when I raised her.  She realized that how she was raised gave her a base of confidence that other kids were missing.
